Palworld Pal Surgery Table: Passives and Implants

Published

The Pal Surgery Table lets you replace passive-skill RNG with a controlled choice: put the Pal in your party, select an available Implant, choose the slot to change, and pay the Gold cost. The expensive part is not clicking confirm. It is knowing whether you are editing a breeding parent or a final keeper.

For the distinct low-chance breeding system, see Mutated Egg outcomes. For worker selection before editing a Pal, compare the Work Suitability rankings by job.

Surgery flow

  1. Build the Pal Surgery Table.
  2. Put the target Pal in your active party.
  3. Interact with the table and choose an available Implant.
  4. Select the passive slot to add or replace.
  5. Review the Gold cost and the passive you are deleting.
  6. Confirm only after checking the Pal’s role.

Check the Technology menu for the table’s current unlock requirement before gathering materials.

Reusable versus Disposable Implants

Type What happens after use Best use
Default or unlocked Implant module Remains available for later surgeries Repeatable build templates
Disposable Implant Consumed when applied Rare, high-impact passives on a confirmed keeper

Check the Implant type shown in the Surgery Table before confirming. A Disposable Implant is consumed when applied; do not treat every Implant as one-use.

Where Implant options come from

Where to check Currency or input Typical role
Default Surgery Table set None beyond surgery Gold Foundational work, combat, and utility passives
Bounty Officer Bounty Tokens Strong work and combat options
Arena Merchant Battle Tickets Movement, stamina, and combat options

For the recycler setup, use Ancient Relic Recycler Guide.

Breeding decision rule

Use the breeding route planner for the deterministic species route, then decide whether an Implant belongs on a parent or the final hatch:

  • Parent: the passive must travel through later generations.
  • Keeper: the species and other passives are already final.
  • Mutation project: do not erase a mutation-only passive while cleaning the other slots.

Before-and-after check

  1. Record the target Pal and all current passive slots.
  2. Confirm whether the selected Implant is reusable or disposable.
  3. Identify the exact slot that will be replaced.
  4. Read the displayed Gold cost and resulting passive before confirming.
  5. Reopen the Pal details afterward and verify the intended slot changed.

If a passive is missing from the menu, do not assume the table can create it. Use the current UI for the required item, cost, and available actions before planning a rebuild.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Pal Surgery Table do?

It lets you add or replace a Pal's passive skill by choosing an available Implant and paying the surgery cost.

Are Implants reusable?

Unlocked standard Implant modules are reusable; Disposable Implants are consumed on use.

Where do you get more Implants?

Check the current Bounty Officer, Arena Merchant, and Recycler UI before spending currency or relics.

Can every passive be implanted?

Check the current Implant menu before planning a build; only choose from the passives it offers.

Should you use an Implant before breeding?

Use it on a parent only when the passive is meant to enter the breeding line; otherwise save the change for the final keeper.
