Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 24, 2026

Pals Guide uses a first-party preference cookie to remember whether you accepted or rejected Microsoft Clarity analytics. Microsoft Clarity cookies are used only after you choose Accept analytics. Rejecting or withdrawing analytics does not limit site features.

Necessary preference cookie

palsguide_consent is a necessary first-party preference cookie containing only analytics_granted or analytics_denied; it contains no user ID and expires within 9 months.

Microsoft Clarity cookies after opt-in

If analytics is accepted, Clarity may set first-party cookies _clck and _clsk and Microsoft third-party cookies including CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID, and SM for pseudonymous identification, session association, analytics, synchronization, and operational purposes. See Microsoft’s Clarity cookie documentation.

Before a choice or when analytics is off

Before a choice, after rejection, or after withdrawal, Pals Guide does not load Clarity and does not send Clarity telemetry. This is stronger than Microsoft’s optional limited no-consent mode. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change or withdraw your choice. An active Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal keeps Clarity off under Pals Guide’s site policy.

Your controls

lets you accept, reject, or withdraw analytics. Microsoft also describes an external Clarity telemetry opt-out; it is an additional control and does not replace the choices on this site.
