All New Pals in Palworld 1.0: Where to Find Them
This guide is the roster map for the 1.0 update. It does not try to be a lore page. It tells you where the new Pals live, which ones deserve attention first, and which ones are tied to special encounters instead of normal roaming spawns.
How to read the list
Use three buckets:
- Region spawns: the easiest Pals to plan around.
- Special encounters: bosses, quest catches, or locked events.
- Priority targets: the Pals that change your daily play the most.
If you only want to improve your route, do not start with rarity. Start with utility.
Priority targets worth catching early
| Pal | Why it stands out |
|---|---|
| Solenne | Strong work Pal with broad utility in the endgame loop |
| Renjishi | Excellent fire-side worker and a simple combat carry |
| Panthalus | Key quest Pal and the gate to the World Tree route |
| Shaolong | Important for Sunreach progress and a useful mount later |
| Eidrolon | Good flyer for players who want a strong region pick |
| Muffly | Useful support catch when you are building a wider roster |
Region overview
Sunreach
Sunreach holds several of the cleaner 1.0 spawns. It is the easiest place to think in terms of bands: one group of Pals shows up on the lower islands, another on the higher islands, and a few stretch across both.
Good early Sunreach picks include Puffolt, Valentail, Snock, Souffline, and Tropicaw. If you are building a team around mobility or elemental coverage, Sunreach is usually your first hunting ground.
The World Tree
The World Tree is the larger endgame cluster. It holds many of the darker, tougher, or more specialized newcomers, along with a few of the variants that matter for late-game builds.
Important names here include Wispaw, Univolt Cryst, Elgrove, Petallia Ignis, Solmora Lux, Solenne, and Renjishi.
Old map additions
Not every 1.0 Pal lives in the new regions. A second group shows up on the older map, on new small islands, or in reworked habitat zones. This is where you find several of the more convenient catch targets for an ordinary playthrough.
Useful examples include Pupperai, Clovee, Amione, Leafan, Skutlass, and Bulldosu.
Special encounters
Some 1.0 entries are not normal wild spawns.
| Pal | Type of encounter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Panthalus | Quest encounter | Required for the World Tree route |
| Astralym | Story boss | Entry unlocks on victory, but the Pal itself is not a normal catch |
| Aegidron | Alpha boss | Good reference point for players who want the endgame map filled in |
| Silvance | Field boss | Worth tracking if you like unusual Grass lines |
| Moldron Cryst | Boss or breed target | A special-case entry rather than a simple roam catch |
| Celesdir Noct | Boss or breed target | Another special-case entry with no simple open-world route |
Practical way to clear the list
- Open the access guides first. Sunreach and the World Tree unlock whole groups of Pals.
- Catch the utility picks first. Do not spend time filling the roster with duplicates before you secure the workers and mounts you will actually use.
- Separate normal spawns from special cases. Boss-only entries deserve a different plan.
- Use breeding only where it saves time. Some 1.0 Pals are easier to hatch than to farm in the field.
- Track what changes your base. If a Pal does not change your base or party, it can wait.
Mistakes to avoid
- Chasing the rarest-looking Pal before you have the route to reach it.
- Assuming every new entry is a combat upgrade.
- Treating boss entries like normal spawns.
- Ignoring work value. A good worker can matter more than a flashy fighter.
Bottom line
If you want the shortest path through the new roster, start with Sunreach, then the World Tree, then the special-case Pal pages. The best 1.0 catches are the ones that either unlock a route or reduce how much busywork you do every day.
Frequently asked questions
What is the easiest way to use this guide?
Start with the region tables, then jump to the Pal pages for the ones you actually want to catch or breed.
Which new Pals are the best first targets?
Use Solenne for work, Renjishi for fire production, and Panthalus if you are pushing the World Tree route.
Where do most of the new Pals live?
The two new 1.0 regions hold the largest share, with the rest spread across older biomes and a few special encounters.
Can every new Pal be caught in the wild?
No. A few are boss-only or quest-gated, so the table separates wild spawns from special cases.
Which guide helps me unlock the hard-to-reach areas?
Read [Sunreach Guide](/guides/sunreach-guide/) and [World Tree Guide](/guides/world-tree-guide/) first.
