Palworld Auri and Shaolong Boss Guide
Auri and Shaolong are the Sunreach tower boss. Reach the sky islands, disable the region’s defense systems, and enter with strong Ice and Electric damage. Judge readiness by survivability, sustained ammunition, and two prepared counters.
Use the boss route guide to compare tower, Alpha, and raid encounter types.
Unlock checklist
- Clear Feybreak Tower, then use its altar to reach Sunreach by following the current story objective.
- Cross the sky islands with a dependable flying mount.
- Complete the defense-system objective that protects the central tower.
- Enter the tower only after your gear, ammunition, and two main counters are ready.
For access, use the Feybreak Tower altar/story route in the Sunreach guide. Your current objective is the reliable route marker; do not treat a level number as the only readiness test.
Counter plan
Shaolong’s Dragon/Water typing gives you two clean answers:
| Damage type | Why it works | Example role |
|---|---|---|
| Ice | Pressures the Dragon side | Durable carry that can keep uptime during movement phases |
| Electric | Pressures the Water side | Ranged burst or sustained damage |
Frostallion and Orserk are useful examples, not mandatory picks. A well-built alternative with the right element beats a fashionable Pal with weak investment.
Arena priorities
- Keep ranged damage available; do not rely on permanent melee contact.
- Save stamina and mobility for large arena pressure instead of spending every dodge early.
- Bring a second counter so one knockout does not end the attempt.
- Use the arena’s safe space and elevation instead of racing damage through every mechanic.
- Repair and restock before entering; tower attempts expose weak logistics quickly.
Wipe diagnosis
| Symptom | Next adjustment |
|---|---|
| One counter is knocked out early | Bring the second Ice/Electric option before changing the whole team |
| You run out of ammunition | Step back to the gear and production route; the fight is exposing logistics, not only damage |
| You cannot maintain range | Favor mobility and cover over another fragile damage pick |
| The tower is still blocked | Return to the Sunreach module route; this page does not invent a missing module coordinate |
What gear tier to target
Target late-Sunreach equipment and an Advanced Shield for this fight. Use the highest reliable ranged weapon you can sustain with ammunition, then upgrade armor and shield before chasing a slightly better damage roll.
After the clear
Complete the post-fight conversation and follow the story toward the World Tree. Do not leave the tower immediately and assume the quest flag advanced.
Use the current tower screen for encounter details, rewards, and multiplayer behavior. Readiness levels are recommendations, not unlock rules.
Frequently asked questions
How do you unlock Auri and Shaolong?
Clear Feybreak Tower and use its altar to reach Sunreach, then complete the region's defense-system objective. Follow the story objective shown in your current save rather than relying on an undocumented shortcut.
Where is the Auri and Shaolong tower?
The tower is on the Sunreach sky islands and does not use a normal main-map pin.
What is Shaolong weak to?
Shaolong is Dragon and Water, so Ice and Electric are the natural counters.
What level should you be for the fight?
Treat level as a readiness cue, not an unlock requirement. Bring durable gear, sustainable ammunition, and two prepared counters.
Can you catch Shaolong in the tower?
No. Treat the tower encounter as a story clear, not a capture route.
